Mansa Musa:
Mansa Musa was the richest dude ever to walk the face of our planet, and a devout Muslim, and for those of you who don't know, it's a duty for Muslims to go on pilgrimage to Mecca at some point if they're able. So he's going from his hometown in Mali to Mecca and all along the way he's being really loose and generous with his money, just showering it on everyone, giving out so much gold, his coins are practically gravel in the street. He gave away so much of his money that for the next decade there was rampant inflation in the cities he passed through.
